Sis, you want the juice? I got you. Expedia just dropped their Air Hacks Report, and it’s spilling all the secrets you need to book smarter, save bigger, and get back to planning that bomb vacay wardrobe. No fluff—just the facts. Let’s go!
The Best Day to Book
Mark your calendar for Sunday, babe. Flights booked on Sundays can save you up to 15%. And if you’re anything like me, you know saving money is just like making money so, here’s the tea:
When to Book
Little-known fact: most airlines release flight schedules and pricing about 330 days out. So, if you’re planning a trip more than 11 months in advance (shoutout to my savvy planners who think 12-24 months ahead), here’s the move: handle your other trip details first, set a calendar reminder, and start scouting flights when the time’s right. Here's your golden window:
Domestic Flights: Lock it in 30 days before takeoff.
International Trips: Plan ahead—6 months early is your sweet spot.

The Cheapest Day to Fly
Skip the weekend madness and fly on Wednesdays. It’s cheaper, less crowded, and you just might score that empty seat next to you (aka extra legroom vibes). And, if you ask me the that's perfect to arrive, scope out the place, get rid of your jet lag and hit the scene fully ready for Thursday when most resorts are amping up with weekend vibes.
Big Travel Sis Pro Tips
Set Fare Alerts: Let Google Flights or Expedia ping you when prices dip.
Stay Flexible: Adjust your dates and check nearby airports for even better deals.
Bundle It Up: Let your Destination Darling add your flight to your cruise or resort package—because convenience is a vibe.
Can’t Pay Up Front? No Problem.
Many of our trips include a flight savings plan, so you can set aside money for your flight without coming off a huge lump sum all at once. Take advantage whenever you see this option—it’s a game-changer for stress-free planning.
For Cruises: Once your full cruise deposit is paid, we can add flights to your reservation.
For Destination Resorts: Add your flight with just a $250 deposit and make payments until your final due date.
Why We Don’t Include Flights (And Why That’s a Good Thing)
Here’s the deal, sis: we have travelers coming from all over the world. Think about it—someone flying from Atlanta to Dubai is not going to have the same fare as someone flying from LA. To keep things fair, we handle flights differently:
Group Flights: About midway through the booking process (or 10 months out), we offer group flights so everyone can meet at a major hub (like MIA, ATL, JFK, or LAX) and fly together to the destination and roll in with VIP private transportation upon arrival.
Individual Flights: Say the word and we’ll book it for you and still pick you up from the airport, as long as you send your flight details in by the deadline posted for your trip.
Alright, that’s it for now, sis. You’ve got a few golden nuggets. Do us a favor—share this cheat sheet with your girls, because friends don’t let friends overspend on flights.
We Outhea.
